You will work closely with our Chief Marketing Officer and senior leadership across our go-to-market organization to achieve corporate goals. You will maintain financial forecasts, perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform capital allocation decisions and drive initiatives to scale the business. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, analytical, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable thinking in front of senior leadership. In this role, you will:Deliver world-class business partnership to our Chief Marketing Officer and other executives across our Marketing department to inform strategic decisions and maintain accurate near-term and long-term financial operating plansPerform data-driven analysis to identify, evaluate and execute on value creation initiatives, investment opportunities and risk mitigation strategiesPartner with our Marketing, Sales and Engineering operations teams to plan and execute complex cross functional initiativesBuild scalable processes and systems and utilize AI tools to enhance financial visibility, control and planning effectiveness to support durable growthIdentify and track key internal and external metrics to guide operational impactAnalyze financial results, prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting and lead monthly operating review meetings with VP and EVPs Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new officesHire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing teamThe ideal candidate has:7+ years of finance & strategy, strategic finance or FP&A experience, preferably partnering with go-to-market organizations at a high growth technology company. Experience in investment banking or big 4 accounting is a plusStrong initiative, intellectual curiosity and willingness to take ownership of complex problemsExperience managing a teamAbility to influence decision making at the executive level, distill key concepts and be articulate in presentationComfortable in a fast-paced environment, able to prioritize across multiple projects and adapt to business changesExcellent analytical skillsExpertise working with AI, systems and automated reporting tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Databricks, Open AI, Salesforce, Adaptive, Tableau, NetSuite, Workday)The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is also eligible for an initial RSU grant with no vesting cliff, and ongoing refresh opportunities tied to performance, subject to plan terms and conditions.
