Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Senior Accountant who is interested in developing into a future Controller. This role will play a key part in managing the company's accounting operations while gaining exposure to financial leadership, strategic planning, and advanced financial reporting.

The ideal candidate is a strong technical accountant who wants to expand their skill set beyond transactional accounting into financial leadership, business partnership, and strategic decision support.

This role works closely with company leadership and will gradually take on responsibilities that prepare them for advancement into a Controller position.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain accuracy of the general ledger and account reconciliations
• Support cost accounting and inventory accounting for manufacturing operations
• Analyze financial results and identify trends, risks, and opportunities

Financial Analysis & Process Improvement

• Assist in developing financial dashboards and performance metrics
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Perform variance analysis and provide insights to leadership
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency

Compliance & Controls

• Assist in maintaining strong internal controls and accounting procedures
• Support preparation for audits and tax filings
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies

Strategic Exposure & Development

• Work directly with leadership on financial reporting and analysis
• Participate in capital expenditure analysis and operational financial support
• Gain experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Assist with projects related to financial systems, reporting improvements, and operational performance
