About the Role
Organization is seeking a strategic, highly organized, and collaborative Fractional Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee daily operations, guide chapters, and support stakeholder networks. The individual in this role will be a vital partner to the President and Board Chair. It requires a professional who excels at operational scaling, collaboration with partners, and driving fundraising and networking initiatives required to grow throughout the US. This is a foundational role with significant long-term growth potential. Initially structured as a fractional position, the role is designed to expand into a full-time leadership career path as the organization scales. We are looking for a committed, singular leader rather than an external consultant with a roster of clients. The ideal candidate is someone eager to invest their talent in one overarching mission and grow with the organization. Key responsibilities include: • Process Optimization: Streamline internal workflows, standard operating procedures, and digital platforms to maximize the efficiency of our core team, volunteers, and chapter leaders. • Chapter Leadership: Provide executive leadership, standardized resources, and operational guidelines to chapter directors. • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with employers, training providers, and support organizations to expand the network and maximize career placement opportunities for the autistic community. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required. Also must have 7+ years of operational leadership experience (COO or VP of Operations). Experience in nonprofit chapter-based national organization or workforce development organization, a plus. Interested candidates, please attach a resume.
