Truck Body Technician

Department: Paragon Fleet Maintenance Group Stevens Transport/Paragon Leasing, LP fully services heavy-duty commercial tractors and trailers out of our Dallas, Texas terminal and is hiring Truck Body Technicians to perform various major and minor structural repairs on diesel trucks, including frames, fiberglass, and sheet metal replacement. Multiple shifts available. Job Summary Truck Body Technicians will perform collision repairs, fabrications, welding, Bondo work, install and align cab components, repair damage to fiberglass, composites, steel, and aluminum, replace windshields, prime, seal, paint, replace fenders, panels, bumpers, and other body parts. Key Responsibilities Collision repair Fabrication and welding Bondo work Installation and alignment of cab components Repair damaged fiberglass, composites, steel and aluminum Windshield replacements Priming, sealing and painting Replacing fenders, panels, bumpers and other body parts Qualifications Have your own tools Minimum 2+ years doing Bondo work Minimum 2+ years in collision repair Collision repair certification a plus Preferred: collision repair experience on Kenworth, Freightliner, and Peterbilt trucks Skills and Abilities Bondo Collision Fabrication Welding Installation Priming Sealing Painting Physical Demands Maneuvering around, in, on, and under trucks/tight spaces to properly inspect and diagnose problems. Standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, pushing, and pulling with a full range of body movements. Using hands to handle, control or feel. Climbing ladders, stairs, and platforms. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Exposure to high decibels of noise, temperature, weather variations, metal welding processes and chemicals (solvents, undercoating, paint, caulking).
