Senior Accountant

Our food manufacturing client in Dallas is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team. This role is instrumental in ensuring the integrity of our financial records, supporting timely and accurate reporting, and driving efficiency in our accounting processes. You'll play a key role in the month-end close, financial analysis, and cross functional collaboration within a dynamic, multi-entity, and multi-currency environment.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a subject matter expert for the general ledger within Oracle or JD Edwards, ensuring accurate recording of all transactions. (Must have experience with either of these ERPs)
• Lead month-end, and year-end close processes, including the preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, variance analysis reports, and ad-hoc financial analytics for executive leadership.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls in compliance with SOX or internal policies; coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a senior-level role.
• Must have strong, hands-on experience with Oracle or JD Edwards.
• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and standard accounting principles.
• Mastery of advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables).
• Active CPA license or plans to obtain one. (preferred)
• Prior experience in public accounting (Big 4 or regional firm). (preferred)
• MANUFACTURING experience is required.
