Database Administrator (Data Warehouse)

Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience in enterprise database administration and data warehouse engineering.

• Proficiency in Oracle Database, Teradata, or SQL Server architecture and performance tuning.

• Experience with dimensional data modeling including Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas, and data marts.

• Experience in GUI-based ETL platforms such as Informatica PowerCenter or IBM DataStage.

• Experience with enterprise reporting and analytics suites including BusinessObjects, Cognos, or Power BI.

• Experience in disaster recovery protocols, database backup routines, and electronic accessibility compliance.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, and maintain logical and physical database models for enterprise data warehouse environments.

• Optimize SQL queries, database indexing, and memory allocation parameters to maximize processing throughput.

• Build and monitor automated ETL data pipelines using tools like Informatica to load structured target schemas.

• Execute database recovery procedures, disaster recovery testing, and system backups to protect corporate data.

• Maintain enterprise data dictionaries, metadata catalogs, and standard data definitions across departments.

• Deploy isolated test database environments, staging libraries, and validation procedures for application teams.

• Generate analytical dashboards and operational reporting models using Power BI and enterprise reporting platforms.
