Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients to identify their specific emotional and psychological needs.

• Engage in both individual and group counseling sessions, providing support and therapeutic interventions to address challenges associated with aging and significant life transitions.

• Educate clients, family members, and caregivers on effective strategies to enhance emotional well-being and improve quality of life for elderly individuals.

• Facilitate grief counseling sessions for clients and their families, offering emotional support during end-of-life issues.

• Document treatment plans and progress notes accurately using our designated electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily targets elderly clients experiencing various emotional challenges, including grief, loss, and the intricacies of aging. You'll provide crucial support to individuals facing life transitions, such as retirement, relocation to assisted living, or the passing of loved ones. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.

• Completion of a full-time clinical internship in a recognized mental health setting.

• Eligibility for licensure as a mental health counselor by the state of Florida.

• A valid driver’s license in good standing.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 per year, complemented by a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
