Branch Operations Specialist

About the Role You are an experienced professional in retail banking, ready to take your leadership skills to the next level. We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Branch Operations Specialist to oversee and enhance the operational efficiency of our branch. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth daily operations, from teller functions to delivering exceptional customer service, all while implementing established policies and procedures. Responsibilities Oversee and ensure the efficient, effective, and professional operation of the retail branch, implementing policies and procedures for safe and secure operations and ensuring the branch meets satisfactory audit standards. Assist with teller functions, such as handling transactions for deposit accounts, loans, and retirement accounts, while delivering excellent customer service using knowledge of the bank’s products and services. Collaborate with the Community Office Manager to supervise, lead, and coach the branch team, including training employees, ensuring effective performance, guiding them on policies and procedures, and assisting with onboarding new staff. Requirements Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED plus 2‑4 years of previous related experience in cash handling and/or customer service in a banking environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively. Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities to navigate complex situations. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and make sound decisions under pressure.
