Step into a pivotal role supporting the mental health and academic growth of students in a dynamic elementary school environment. This contract opportunity is an onsite, full-time position at two engaging schools, where you will play a key part in shaping student success through comprehensive psychological services. With a caseload of approximately 40 students, you’ll collaborate closely with educational staff and families, delivering assessments, counseling, and support within a positive and energetic school culture.
Qualifications:
- Valid ‘Professional Special Services License’ through the Colorado Department of Education (or in licensure process if relocating)
- Proven experience as a School Psychologist, ideally in elementary settings
- Skilled in completing assessments, IEP participation, and developing behavior plans
- Outstanding interview and communication abilities, with talent for articulating your experience and approach
- Energetic, approachable attitude; demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and a positive presence
- Experience supporting diverse populations and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness to work fully onsite, engaging with students and staff in person
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret results
- Develop and implement intervention and support strategies for students
- Participate as an active member of school IEP and problem-solving teams
- Provide individual and group counseling services
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student needs
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal educational guidelines
