Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit

Full-Time, rotating day/night schedule from 7 AM to 7 PM and 7 PM to 7 AM, including holidays.

Requirements:

• Currently licensed by the state as a registered professional nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.
• Must complete Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire and CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Emergency Nurses Association certification is recommended within 2 years of hire.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) is recommended within 2 years of hire.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain professionalism.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy required; experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient-centered care in a compassionate manner.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Monitor and document patient outcomes effectively.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles applicable to the patient population.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
