Technical Analyst I

Job Summary Cox Automotive is seeking a Technical Analyst (TA) to serve as the single point of contact for technology at revenue-generating locations, such as Manheim Auto Auction. The TA collaborates with project teams and business owners to deliver technology solutions, oversees design, development, testing, and post-release activities, and ensures service delivery for all interconnected network devices and workflow processes. The TA maintains system integrity, security, and infrastructure connectivity, and supports local service contracts and high-pressure incidents during revenue-generating sale days. Key Qualifications Excellent customer service skills Working experience in audio/visual Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (e.g., 4 years in a related field) Experience supporting end‑user computing devices Experience with incident, problem, and change management in an ITIL-based environment Willingness to travel up to 25 % Physical ability to walk, stand, squat, kneel, and climb to troubleshoot and maintain technology equipment Strong communication and customer‑service skills with the ability to meet SLAs and update customers on progress Responsibilities Hardware/Software Installation Procure, deliver, implement, and maintain hardware and software. Document physical assets in configuration and asset‑management records. Preventive Maintenance Monitor availability, performance, and throughput of technology infrastructure to proactively identify issues. Manage and maintain all infrastructure hardware and software to ensure continuous availability. Recommend and test replacements or upgrades to support business continuity. Maintain technical documentation of the infrastructure. Lead disaster‑recovery activities for technology at the location. Incident Management Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, and peripherals. Research and develop solutions for recurring issues. Update incident records and the knowledge base with timely information. Problem Management Analyze root causes of incidents and recommend solutions. Update problem records and submit change requests to eliminate recurring errors. Coordinate implementation of remedies and preventive measures. Change Management Review and assess impact of new business requirements with project teams. Contribute to technical documentation for key changes, including impact assessments and implementation plans. Ensure capacity, availability, security, and service support requirements are addressed. Implement, test, and monitor changes in line with plans. Maintain asset and configuration‑management records and verify acceptance criteria. Training & Support Train end users on corporate initiatives such as device or software deployments. Act as the routine contact point for client service issues and provide or escalated solutions. Collect performance data for client services and manage data retention for legal archives. Additional Responsibilities Contribute to maintenance and installation planning. Provide reports and proposals for continuous improvement. Participate in location management team meetings to influence technology decisions. Assist in client training, adoption, and satisfaction for client bases of 200–1000 team members. Preferred Experience IT certifications such as A+, Network+, MCP, MCDST, ACSP Experience with wireless and network support. Experience with Series/AS400 support. Project‑management experience. Ability to conduct remote/mobile sales support and attend auction leadership meetings. Design, oversee, and implement innovative technology solutions.
