This role is vital in ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked, carefully packed, and shipped in a timely manner. This position is responsible for preparing, packaging, and labeling products for shipment while maintaining compliance with company standards and shipping regulations. The Shipping Associate collaborates closely with warehouse and inventory teams to verify order accuracy and manage timely dispatch. Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential to minimize errors and support customer satisfaction through reliable delivery. Ultimately, this role contributes to the seamless flow of goods from the warehouse to customers, supporting overall supply chain effectiveness.This position is not suitable for someone looking to drive or operate forklifts, order pickers or reach trucks all day long.Role and ResponsibilitiesWork with members of the Shipping Department to bag flags, package, box and fulfill customer ordersAccurately pick products from inventory based on order specifications using manual methodsPack items securely to prevent damage during transit, utilizing appropriate packing materialsLabel packages correctly and prepare them for shipment according to carrier requirementsBecome proficient in the use of the bagging machineMaintain organized workstations to facilitate efficient order processingAssist with restocking as neededEnsure all shipments meet quality standards and are processed within designated timeframesCollaborate with team members to meet daily shipping goals and deadlinesWork along side the Production and Printing Departments to ensure orders are accurate prior to shippingCommunicate clearly with outside shipping vendors, USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.Be a team player and pitch in wherever neededMeet or exceed the customer's expectationsParticipate in a wide variety of other projects and tasks as assigned or requestedFollow all directives of the Shipping Manager as requiredQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentPrior experience in warehouse operations, order fulfillment, or related fields is requiredExceptional verbal, written and visual communication skills in the English language-RequiredStrong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking and packingAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as neededAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to assemble 200 boxes per hourExcellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectivelyBasic computer skillsReliable attendance and punctuality are essential for success in this roleAbility to operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts is a plusSkills:The required skills, such as attention to detail and basic computer proficiency, are essential for accurately processing shipments and maintaining records. Physical stamina and safe operation of equipment enable the Shipping Associate to handle packages efficiently and prevent workplace injuries.
