An exciting contract opportunity is available for a dedicated School Psychologist to provide support across two educational sites near Sunnyvale, CA. This itinerant position covers a maternity leave from November through March 31 and focuses on delivering essential psychological services in-person within a vibrant school environment.
Your expertise will make a direct impact by supporting the emotional and academic well-being of students. Working with an elementary caseload, you’ll collaborate closely with educators and families to ensure students receive the best possible support.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid California PPS credential in School Psychology
- Experience or strong interest in elementary education settings
- Proficiency with SPED assessments, counseling, and behavior interventions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently across multiple locations
- Previous school-based experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct special education assessments to identify student needs
- Provide individual and group counseling services
- Develop and implement behavior support plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student learning
- Maintain accurate records and prepare required documentation
- Travel between two assigned sites as part of the itinerant schedule
