Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 17 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse in Madison, WI The healthcare organization is seeking a highly skilled OR nurse to join a Level 1 trauma center. This position involves supporting surgical teams across multiple service lines, including trauma, transplant, neuro, ortho, and endovascular cases, with an emphasis on maintaining clinical excellence and patient safety. Job Details Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), RN license Education Requirements: Active RN license, minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to. Location: Madison, WI Years of Experience: 2 years preferred, minimum 1 year required Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week, with shifts occurring every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 0700 to 1900; no call. Additional Qualifications: Must have experience in neuro, ortho, transplant, and vascular cases. Experience with multiple service lines including trauma and transplant is highly preferred. Float: Float rotation may be required. Responsibilities include planning patient care within the multidisciplinary operating room team, coordinating activities, and facilitating efficient case progression and turnover. Clinical skills required: Experience with diverse surgical procedures including vascular, transplant, neuro, trauma, and laparoscopic cases, along with proficiency in in-process charting using electronic systems such as Epic. Must meet strict pass/fail clinical testing criteria, including telemetry interpretation.
