Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - Johnson City, NY

Schedule/Hours:

• Travel assignment; scheduling details provided during interview process.

Core Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy procedures as directed.
• Perform aerosol therapy, CPT/Flutter/PEP Mask, incentive spirometry, and M.D.I. therapies.
• Execute suctioning, extubation, and oxygen therapy across all approved devices.
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow cannula/humidifier therapy, and associated alarms.
• Conduct cough assist/vest therapy and pulmonary function screenings.
• Perform EKG (adult/pediatric) and BLS life support (adult/pediatric/neonatal).
• Oversee mechanical ventilation, ventilator alarms, and perform arterial puncture/analysis.
• Carry out fit testing for employee health and ensure oxygen tank safety.
• Efficiently manage healthcare IT systems for patient care documentation.
• Support departmental in-service programs and maintain accurate records.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Ideal Candidate Experience:

• Current credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Proven experience in both adult and pediatric respiratory interventions.
• Proficiency in mechanical ventilation and advanced diagnostic procedures.
• Demonstrated commitment to high standards of clinical accuracy and timeliness.
