We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations for a manufacturing organization in Jacksonville, Florida. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented candidate who can manage period-end activities, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to a well-controlled accounting environment. The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and comfort working across systems to keep reporting and reconciliations on track.

Responsibilities:
• Lead monthly and year-end close activities, ensuring deadlines are met and financial information is recorded accurately.
• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a recurring basis and investigate variances to resolution.
• Perform bank reconciliations and verify cash activity to support accurate reporting.
• Review accounting data for completeness and consistency across financial records and supporting documentation.
• Utilize Sage 100, Paycor, and cloud-based ERP tools to process transactions and maintain accounting workflows.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and improve the accuracy of financial data.• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including work at the senior accountant level.
• Demonstrated expertise in month-end close, general ledger management, and journal entry preparation.
• Strong background in account reconciliations and bank reconciliation processes.
• Hands-on experience using Sage 100, Paycor, and cloud ERP platforms.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal control practices.
• High level of accuracy, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
