Indirect Procurement Manager

Leading strategic procurement initiatives, the full-time Indirect Procurement Category Manager for Marketing will manage agency relationships, oversee category strategies, and negotiate contracts to support Waymo's marketing and communications efforts in a remote capacity. Key responsibilities Lead end-to-end category management for a diverse portfolio including Creative, Media Buying, PR, and Public Affairs Negotiate complex agency retainers and project-based contracts, ensuring compliance with IP and brand protection standards Collaborate with marketing and policy leaders to balance creative needs with procurement best practices Required qualifications At least 7 years of procurement experience, with a minimum of 4 years in Marketing, Communications, PR, or Public Affairs sourcing Deep understanding of marketing procurement nuances, including agency fee models and media buying transparency Proven ability to negotiate complex IP and usage rights within creative and PR contracts Excellent executive presence with the ability to influence and build trust with creative leaders Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
