Patient Service Technician - Delivery Driver

Location Remote/Hybrid field-based in San Francisco or San Jose area (Reporting to Milpitas office) Job Summary Under general supervision of the ROM, the Patient Service Technician is responsible for the delivery, set‑up, patient education, and pickup of Durable Medical Equipment. The Technician keeps organized delivery and pickup tickets, and updates the Delivery Track for successful and unsuccessful deliveries. Responsibilities Reports to work daily and is ready at the scheduled start time. Wears all safety equipment (e.g., back support and steel-toed shoes). Works on‑call assignments as needed or scheduled, including Saturday work. Provides CPAP, Pulse Ox, mask fitting, and other oxygen/DME equipment under the supervision of a Respiratory Therapist. Completes the initial Respironics/ResMed training program, including annual competency assessment. Provides patient education as part of patient care activities according to patient need. Delivers respiratory, medical equipment and supplies to patients or clients. Maintains current knowledge of respiratory and home care equipment. Performs equipment set‑ups in a timely and professional manner. Presents SuperCare through professional personal appearance and patient care activities. Completes delivery and pick‑up paperwork promptly and accurately, listing serial numbers and scanning all paperwork into the system. Assists with pulling equipment and supplies from the warehouse as ordered on patient delivery tickets. Loads equipment, oxygen systems, and related supplies onto a delivery vehicle. Familiar with all applicable laws and regulations for setting up respiratory equipment. Manages all orders on the route sheet and Delivery Track, delivering via company vehicle; meets ETA requirements. Communicates with dispatch and/or patients if ETA cannot be met. Adds necessary notes into Delivery Track regarding the type of delivery. Works with patients to solve problems and acts as a company field representative (e.g., reverse demonstration process). Identifies and labels contaminated equipment for return to location. Follows company policy on picking up contaminated labeled equipment. Bag equipment, transfer it back to location, and unload into designated “dirty” quarantine area. Attempts to successfully pick up rental equipment as directed and follows return policies. Unloads equipment from the company vehicle, ensuring all returned/picked‑up equipment is placed in the proper designated area with pickup order attached. Completes a physical inspection of vehicles and documents daily. Promotes teamwork among team members, including assisting other locations. Performs warehouse and office maintenance tasks as required. Performs any other duties requested by Supervisor or Management. Adheres to all SuperCare Health company policies. Keeps updated knowledge of all products. Maintains a professional, safe, and clean work environment and vehicle. Schedules vary with start times, on‑call days, and rotational holidays. Possesses fundamental computer skills. Undergoes extensive travel via company vehicle to patients’ homes or delivery addresses for set‑ups and recurring deliveries. Qualifications Must be 21 years of age. Valid Driver’s License. DOT certification (optional). Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
