Accounting Clerk

A major telecom company is hiring for an Accounting Clerk 1 to join their high energy and adaptable Business Planning group. This accounting clerk would be joining a team comprised of 1 other Accounting Clerk 1, as well as 4 other Accounting Clerk 2. Day to day, the accounting clerk would assist with operations including PO creation, receiving and processing invoices and adding new vendors. This is an entry level position that emphasizes growth in the company and great mentorship opportunity.

20% Project funding/PO creation

80% receiving and processing invoices

Must haves:

• Keyboarding, ability to utilize Microsoft office apps as well as learn new applications as needed
• Basic to intermediate Excel skills
• Time management and attention to detail are VERY important skills to this position
• Work fully on site in Madison, WI
• 0-1+ yrs of experience or exposure to accounting, GAAP, bookkeeping or similar.

Plusses:

• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Econ or similar

Compensation :

$14/hr to $15/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
