Title IX Coordinator – University of North Texas – Dallas Serves as the UNT Dallas university official responsible for knowledge of Title IX regulations, OCR reporting requirements, and related federal compliance frameworks. Responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing compliance with all aspects of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act (VAWA), and the Campus SaVe Act. Skilled in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting sensitive case data to produce accurate, timely compliance reports. Maintains secure records, uses data systems to monitor case progress, identifies trends, and supports institutional decision‑making. Translates complex data into actionable insights while ensuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance. Monitors university policies, investigates complaints, and oversees Title IX requirements and grievance procedures. The position is hybrid; majority of the week is on‑campus. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, or related field, and three years of experience in investigating and resolving allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, or administering a comprehensive Title IX compliance program; or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated knowledge of non‑discrimination laws and regulations, including Title IX, Title VII, ADA/Section 504, Campus SaVE Act, and Clery Act; experience in complaint resolutions and investigations. Ability to design, update, and deliver Title IX training for employees, students, and staff. Comprehensive working knowledge of HR, Faculty, and Student functions. Experience assessing compliance obligations in a complex academic environment. Meticulous documentation of Title IX matters, consistent with law and regulatory expectations for reporting and analytics. Strong investigation and project‑management skills including writing, research, organization, and prioritization. Preferred Qualifications Five years of experience investigating and resolving allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, or administering a comprehensive Title IX program; or equivalent. Professional certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, or SHRM‑SCP. Job Duties Serves as Title IX Coordinator as designated by the UNT Dallas president. Ensures prompt, equitable, and impartial Title IX processes for all students, faculty, staff, and third parties. Maintains separation of responsibilities for coordinators, investigators, and decision‑makers. Oversees investigations of complaints and directs responses to reports of sexual misconduct. Works with AVC of EO, EO Director, Human Resources, Faculty Affairs, and Student and Academic Affairs to facilitate supportive measures and resolution of Title IX matters. Prepares and delivers awareness, education, and prevention training to the UNT Dallas community (students, faculty, staff), including orientation, tabling events, and outreach materials. Provides consultation to individuals on reporting options, processes, rights, and resources at UNT Dallas and in the community. Maintains related webpage content and distributed communication materials. Assesses Title IX compliance programming, leads strategic vision, implementation, and assessment of Title IX compliance. Prepares quarterly compliance reports for the President and annual reports for the Board of Regents and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). Reviews regulations, policies, and procedures with institutional experts and makes change recommendations. Manages formal grievance processes and maintains grievance files, disposition reports, and records in coordination with the Case Manager. Reviews and revises related policies and procedures, prioritizes compliance requirements, analyzes compliance data, and coordinates committees and educational presentations. Develops written communications and guidance documents for distribution. Physical Requirements Communicating with others to exchange information. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Environmental Hazards No adverse environmental conditions expected. Work Schedule Mon‑Fri, 8 am–5 pm.
