Salary: $250,000-$290,000 + Bonus
A leading national law firm is seeking a 4-8 year Real Estate Associate to join its established transactional real estate practice in New York.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a strong background in commercial leasing, acquisitions and real estate development who is looking to work on sophisticated transactions for institutional and corporate clients.
The role offers substantial exposure to complex commercial real estate matters, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced team within a well-established national platform.
The Opportunity:
The successful candidate will advise clients across a broad range of sophisticated commercial real estate matters, including:
- Commercial leasing and related transactional matters
- Acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate
- Real estate development and redevelopment projects
- Complex lease structures and development arrangements
- Preparation and negotiation of purchase agreements, leases, development agreements and related documentation
- Transactional due diligence, including review of title, surveys and other property-related materials
- Coordination with clients, developers, consultants and other professionals throughout the transaction lifecycle
- The role will provide the opportunity to take meaningful responsibility for transactions while working closely with senior attorneys and clients.
Requirements:
- 4–8 years of transactional real estate experience
- Strong experience in commercial leasing, acquisitions and/or development
- Experience handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions
- Exposure to complex leasing structures, development arrangements or similar transactions
- Experience representing sophisticated commercial clients
- Ability to review and analyze title, surveys and other due diligence materials
- Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong academic credentials
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced transactional environment
- New York Bar admission
