About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in med/surg & PCU required License: RN license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required (AHA only) Must-Have: - Strong foundation in PCU for blended unit - Ability to care for all acuity types and ratios - Willingness to work standby call as needed - Telemetry exam required prior to assignment start Description: This position involves caring for patients in a medical-surgical unit with occasional ICU/PCU patients. The RN will be required to manage all acuity types and maintain appropriate patient ratios. The role includes weekend rotation and working every other holiday. Charge experience is preferred. Effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary support are essential. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in various nursing skills including, but not limited to, managing arterial lines, caring for ventilated patients, and administering blood products. Nursing responsibilities also include monitoring telemetry and interpreting dysrhythmias. Standby call for additional needs is required as part of the role. This position promotes high-quality patient care and requires adherence to safety protocols. Travelers are required to float as needed within the unit. Passing criteria for required examinations must be met to ensure readiness for this role.
