Occupational Therapist

Aegis Home Health & Hospice in Tucson is hiring a part-time Occupational Therapist to deliver patient-centered OT in the home setting, supporting safety, function, and independence. Key responsibilities include selecting appropriate OT treatment models; providing ADL-focused interventions; recommending and training on adaptive equipment; completing home safety assessments and modification recommendations; educating patients and caregivers; documenting progress and communicating with the care team. Required qualifications/skills: - Graduate of an AOTA-approved occupational therapy program - Current AZ OT licensure/registration/certification - Home health or hospice OT experience (2+ years preferred) - Strong communication, initiative, and time-management skills - Valid AZ driver’s license, reliable transportation, auto insurance/registration - Current CPR, negative TB test, and AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card If you’re ready to bring skilled OT to patients where they live, apply today. Your day is planned around Monday–Friday availability (8am–5pm) with flexibility to coordinate visits efficiently across Tucson. You’ll review referrals and prior notes, then travel between patient homes to complete scheduled sessions. Between visits, you’ll connect by phone with caregivers or clinicians to confirm plans and ensure continuity of care. You’ll close out the day by completing timely documentation, organizing the next day’s route, and following up on any outstanding items so patients and the team have clear, current information.
