Salary Range: $59,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Wayland that are seeking skilled Fabrication Leads. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train fabrication team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Plan and coordinate daily fabrication activities, including material preparation, cutting, forming, and welding.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide fabrication processes.
• Operate and maintain fabrication equipment such as shears, press brakes, welders, and grinders.
• Conduct quality inspections of fabricated parts and assemblies, identifying and resolving non-conformances.
• Manage material inventory for fabrication, optimizing usage and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve design for manufacturability and process efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, STICK), fabrication processes, and machinery (e.g., press brakes, shears, saws, CNC equipment).
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and scheds.
• Demonstrated experience in leading, mentoring, and developing a team of skilled fabricators.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to quality and safety standards.
• Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
