Summary Our Portland, Oregon office is looking for a legal assistant to assist with drafting pleadings, discovery, electronic filing, trial preparation, file management, mail processing, and updating client systems. Key Responsibilities Prepare initial drafts of discovery documents and pleadings using templates Electronically file documents in state and federal courts Update client systems Assist attorneys with court hearing and trial preparation May perform other duties as assigned to support department goals May occasionally work extended hours based on operational needs Experience and Skills Ability to learn our firm’s file management system and client systems 1-2 years prior law office experience preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows General knowledge of office equipment Work Schedule This is a 100% office position requiring your physical presence Monday through Friday, with business hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Pay Range The pay for this position typically ranges from $17.00-$20.00/hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and other factors. A corporate office environment with a professional setting, characterized by a quiet to moderate noise level. Employees may work in individual or shared workspaces, with standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones. Occasional meetings, collaborative discussions, and business activities may contribute to variations in noise levels.
