Payroll Specialist

Job Description The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle payroll process for both field and office employees. This role ensures compliance with prevailing wage requirements, including the Davis‑Bacon Act, as well as all applicable state and federal wage‑and‑hour laws. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to reconcile production data with payroll records. Payroll Responsibilities Collect and review electronic timesheets and process accurate weekly payroll Maintain payroll deductions, earnings, deferrals, and withholdings for all employees Maintain and track PTO Provide information and clarification for any employee questions related to payroll Process and maintain records of child support and other garnishment deductions as required by legal documents Process and maintain certified payrolls as required per contract agreements Requirements Discretion and trustworthiness due to frequent contact with confidential materials Proven working experience in Payroll Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures Hands‑on experience in operating spreadsheets and QuickBooks accounting software Proficiency in English and in MS Office High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Benefits Retirement Plan Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Paid Time Off Paid Holidays #J-18808-Ljbffr Bayside Fire
