Position Overview The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee. This includes assessment, treatment plan development, supervision of implementation, collaboration and training with caregivers, and ongoing coaching of behavioral technicians. Clinical Supervisors report to the Group Clinical Manager. This is a salaried, exempt, full-time position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Use clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient Develop and maintain treatment plans Ensure 100% treatment adherence each month of supervision hours Evaluate patients to identify skill deficits and strengths Analyze challenging behaviors to identify their function Develop functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors Observe treatment implementation for potential program revisions Monitor treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of treatment protocols Direct behavior technicians in the implementation of new or revised treatment protocols Provide ongoing coaching and training to behavioral technicians Work physically within the center to support technicians and observe best practices of direct observation Summarize and analyze data to evaluate patient progress toward treatment goals and adjust protocols based on data Update treatment plans at least once per month based on patient response to treatment Fulfill a minimum of 120 payor/client authorized billable hours per month, inclusive of supervisory hours and therapy hours Accurately communicate treatment response to stakeholders (caregivers, payers) Coordinate care with other professionals Administer, complete, and score standardized assessments Include caregiver as a part of the treatment team, evidenced by consistent Caregiver Collaboration meetings Interact with payers in a collaborative, professional, thorough, and informative manner Engage with payers as needed for funding meetings (IEP, peer reviews) Stay up to date on best practices for ABA treatment to ensure clinical excellence Maintain appropriate documentation in Skills and the patient’s medical record Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, families and colleagues Maintain compliance with HIPAA requirements at all times Partner consistently and effectively with other center leadership (Operations Manager, Clinical Supervisors, Administrative Coordinator Technician, Behavior Technician Leads) Other duties as assigned Requirements Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis or related field required Certification as a behavior analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board required Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Empathetic and compassionate; ability to maintain strict confidentiality Collaborative teamwork with a positive and solution-focused attitude Independent problem solving and exercise clinical judgment Effective communicator in both verbal and written formats Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook; ability to use new computer systems and iPads Desire to continuously learn and develop skillsets Willingness to work in a variety of locations (center, patient home, etc.) Willingness to work with a variety of patients Reliable means of transportation with proof of auto insurance Must pass tuberculosis test Proficiency in English, both written and verbal Work Environment Treatment may occur in patient homes, the CARD center, patient schools, the community, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors work both indoors and outdoors and may move between different locations throughout the day. Treatment environments may be subject to loud or excessive noise at times. Physical Requirements Work with patients who are seated on the floor, in small chairs, or in other settings Move frequently throughout the therapeutic setting to gather materials, anticipate and respond to the movement of a patient, and provide instruction in various settings Position oneself to participate and respond to patient movements, including bending, kneeling, or reaching to prevent unsafe behaviors Utilize continuous visual tracking to monitor patient movement and surrounding environment Occasionally move to evade aggressive behaviors and/or physically block attempts to aggress toward others Occasionally bear the weight of a patient when assisting, such as leaning or pushing Teach patients to use vocal speech, articulate sound, and model speaking clearly Use modeling to teach gross motor skills (climbing, jumping) and fine motor skills (clapping, opening a container) Work in both indoor and outdoor settings, including weather conditions Lift up to 30 lbs. while assisting patients EEO Statement Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the California Fair Chance Act.
