Epic Application Analyst - Patient Access

Salary: $79,316 - 79,316 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related discipline.
• We require at least three years of experience supporting Epic Patient Access applications, including build, configuration, testing, implementation, optimization, and production support.
• We require experience supporting patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, eligibility workflows, and front-end revenue cycle operations.
• We require experience configuring and supporting Epic Real-Time Eligibility workflows, including payer connectivity, eligibility-response troubleshooting, and insurance-verification improvement.
• We require demonstrated experience analyzing workflows, gathering requirements, developing application solutions, and partnering with operational stakeholders.
• We require Epic Cadence certification.
• We require Epic Prelude certification.
• We require Epic Real-Time Eligibility certification.

• We analyze clinical, business, and technical processes to design system solutions for Epic Patient Access applications, including Cadence, Prelude, and Real-Time Eligibility.
• We manage application upgrades, implementations, optimization efforts, and assigned projects.
• We provide technical and application support to clients and IT staff for patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and eligibility workflows.
• We evaluate workflows to find opportunities to improve patient access and front-end revenue cycle processes.
• We design and deploy application solutions that meet departmental and operational needs.
• We collaborate with departments and stakeholders to prioritize enhancements and workflow improvements.
• We support effective system use by aligning application capabilities with operational processes.
• We maintain Epic Patient Access applications and configure, test, troubleshoot, install, and support assigned modules.
• We investigate and resolve issues related to payer connectivity, eligibility responses, insurance verification, scheduling, and registration.
• We ensure changes follow established testing, documentation, and change-management practices.
• We participate in daily production support and implementation work.
• We create and maintain documentation for applications, configurations, workflows, and system changes.
• We plan, develop, and execute testing for supported Epic Patient Access applications.
• We prepare clear instructions, reference resources, and application materials.
• We work with IT educators to refresh training plans, documentation, and user-support content.
• We act as a liaison among the IT department, operational teams, external vendors, and clients.
• We facilitate meetings, share project and application updates, and help resolve technical and operational issues.
• We collaborate with stakeholders to define application needs and recommend suitable solutions.
• We provide project-management support as needed.
• We mentor junior analysts and oversee assigned work efforts as directed by management.
• We participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when needed.
• We travel occasionally to other offices for user support, training, implementations, and conferences.
• We follow internal controls and reporting lines.

This role offers a salary starting at $79,316 depending on qualifications, with a standard office environment, occasional travel, on-call support, and opportunities to contribute to enterprise application improvements.
