About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical Surgical Neuro unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Participate in rapid response team activation as needed
• Document patient care and assessments using Epic electronic health records
• Float to like units within scope of practice based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided
• Fulfill weekend commitment of 6 shifts within every 6-week period

• Active RN license in New Mexico or a Compact state (pending NM/Compact license accepted; must be obtained prior to start)
• BLS certification required (pending accepted)
• NIHSS certification required (pending accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical or Neuro nursing experience
• No on-call requirement; willingness to float to like units as needed
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred
• Experience with Epic electronic health records
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
