About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical - Neuro Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year of recent experience required License: Current valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required, CPI preferred Must-Have: - Nurse to patient ratio: 1:6 - Rapid response team activation experience - Epic charting experience Description: The role requires a registered nurse to work on a medical-surgical neuro unit. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to adult and geriatric patients. Experience with blood product administration and central line management is essential. The nurse will manage patients with surgical drains and wound care needs. Other skills required include insulin administration and oxygen therapy. The position involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. The nurse may float to similar units as needed based on facility requirements. Weekend shifts are required, totaling six shifts every six weeks. The facility operates with a daily census of 32 patients. All staff must comply with safety and infection control measures.
