Director of Facilities

JOB SUMMARYThe Director of Facilities serves as the primary leader responsible for the strategic direction, maintenance, safety, compliance, and operational performance of all Guarantee Electrical facilities, offices, warehouses, prefabrication shops, manufacturing operations, and real estate assets across the enterprise. This role combines technical facilities expertise, strategic planning capability, and business acumen to ensure all locations operate safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively while supporting operational excellence, employee wellbeing, workforce growth, and long-term business objectives. The Director of Facilities leads facilities teams, manages vendor and contractor relationships, controls facilities budgets, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The position involves:Flexible schedule with extended hours as needed, including response to after-hours emergenciesRegular travel to company facilities across Missouri, Illinois, Colorado, and California, with overnight stays as neededTime split between office environments and on-site facility, warehouse, and manufacturing walkthroughsExposure to construction, warehouse, and manufacturing site conditions requiring safety awareness and complianceSignificant vendor and contractor interaction, including negotiations and performance reviewsExtensive documentation review, budget analysis, and performance reportingLeadership of facilities planning meetings and cross-departmental coordinationManagement of multiple competing priorities across sites with strategic decision-making MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Architecture, or a related field10 or more years of progressive facilities management experience5 or more years of leadership experience managing multi-site operationsExperience managing industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, and office facilitiesExperience leading capital improvement and construction projectsExperience managing facility budgets and vendor contractsValid driver's license and ability to travel to company facilities as neededExperience supporting construction, manufacturing, or industrial organizations (preferred)Experience managing facilities across multiple states (preferred)Experience with employee-owned organizations (preferred)
