Because we do not have a brick‑and‑mortar studio, lessons can take place in students’ homes, your own home or studio, or via webcam. Most students prefer in‑person lessons, so local instructors who can host students or travel within the New Orleans area are needed. Responsibilities Conduct individual music lessons with students of all ages and skill levels. Plan and deliver lesson content tailored to each student’s needs and goals. Schedule lessons in students’ homes, your own studio, or via webcam. Maintain accurate lesson records and progress reports. Coordinate with the company for student placement, billing, and marketing support. Adhere to health and safety protocols, including mask wearing, hand sanitation, and social distancing when appropriate. Qualifications Professional performing experience or a degree/enrollment in a music program. Previous teaching experience is required. Excellent communication skills and punctuality. Ability to work independently as an independent contractor. Compensation & Benefits Paid on an independent contractor basis at $20 to $30 per hour, depending on experience, travel time, and student retention rate.
