Job Description

We're looking for a friendly, organized, and motivated Patient Care Coordinator to become the first impression of our practice. If you enjoy helping people, thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and take pride in delivering outstanding customer service, we'd love to meet you. Welcome patients with professionalism, warmth, and compassion.

Register new patients and accurately collect demographic, insurance, and financial information

Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using electronic scheduling systems

Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, and coverage limitations before treatment

Obtain and track prior authorizations, referrals, and precertification's to ensure timely patient care

Notify patients of insurance benefits, estimated financial responsibility, and any authorization requirements.

Collect copayments, balances, and process patient payments according to office procedures

Communicate effectively with therapists regarding scheduling needs and patient concerns

Answer multi-line phones and respond promptly to patient inquiries

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

Minimum of one year of medical front office, medical receptionist, or healthcare administrative experience preferred

Experience verifying insurance benefits and obtaining prior authorizations is preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred

Strong computer and data entry skills with excellent attention to detail

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational and time management abilities

Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment

Dependable, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities

Positive attitude with a strong commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care
