How you’ll contribute A Staffing Coordinator who excels in this role: Supports nursing administration by coordinating daily staffing needs, calculating requirements based on patient acuity and flexible staffing models, and maintaining accurate records and reports. Proactively monitors staffing levels and resolves shortages in alignment with established staffing plans. Communicates anticipated or actual staffing issues to the appropriate Director in a timely manner. Determines, coordinates, and oversees staffing assignments for Patient Sitters to ensure appropriate coverage. Recruits, orients, trains, coaches, and mentors Patient Sitters; assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed. Assesses and ensures the quality of services delivered, supports staff development initiatives, and promotes compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols. Prepares and edits correspondence, reports, presentations, and other written communications. Receives, screens, and routes visitors and telephone calls; responds to, escalates, and follows up on inquiries and issues as appropriate. Schedules and coordinates meetings, conferences, special events, and appointments. Maintains assigned calendars, files, and office equipment. Orders, tracks, and stocks office and departmental supplies. What we’re looking for Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's degree is preferred.
