On-Call Registered Nurse

Role: On-Call Registered Nurse providing compassionate hospice care in patients' homes and facilities. Responsibilities: Triage after-hours calls, perform urgent visits, assess symptoms, and develop care plans prioritizing comfort and dignity. Key duties include managing pain and symptoms, administering medications, educating patients and families, documenting care promptly, and supporting emotional and spiritual needs. The RN collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, communicates patient status changes to providers, and ensures care aligns with patient goals, cultural values, and regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills: Nursing licensure, strong assessment skills, empathy, excellent communication, ability to work independently, and knowledge of hospice care principles.
