Location: Waterloo, IA 50703

Duration: 2 Years – Possible Extension
Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Over Time: 5–8 hours if requested
Work Type: Onsite

 

 

Description:

Job Summary

Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II with an Industrial Engineering background to support manufacturing operations, improve processes, conduct time studies, and increase efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing & distribution operations.
• Conduct time studies and work measurement for incentive pay systems such as CIPP.
• Improve manufacturing methods, tooling, and processes.
• Support quality improvement and efficiency initiatives.
• Provide shop floor troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Participate in preventive maintenance and facilities activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and process procedures.
• Analyze data and prepare reports using Microsoft Office.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and contractors.
• Spend approximately 60% of the day on your feet.
• Work flexible hours as required to support operations.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience preferred.
• Recent graduates with relevant internships/academic experience may be considered.
• Experience with manufacturing, distribution, tooling, quality, or facilities.
• Experience with time studies, work measurement, or incentive pay systems.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

 

Physical / Work Requirements

• Onsite shop-floor position.
• Must be comfortable standing/walking for approximately 60% of the workday.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
• Metatarsal safety boots required on the first day.
• Business casual dress code.
• Onsite interview preferred; Teams interview available for non-local candidates.
