Job Description Legal Assistant (Litigation)

Location: Seattle, WA

Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid (3 days in office)

Pay: $75,000-95,000 + bonus

LHH is working with a nationally respected law firm who seeks an experienced Legal Assistant to support a busy civil defense and insurance coverage litigation practice. This role requires strong knowledge of state and federal court filings , court rules, and experience supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation, including trials.

Key Responsibilities

• Support litigation attorneys with administrative and legal tasks
• Prepare, proofread, and file pleadings in state and federal courts (including e-filing)
• Manage calendars for hearings, depositions, mediations, and deadlines
• Apply knowledge of court rules and procedures
• Assist with trial preparation and provide trial support as needed
• Organize case files and assist with records management
• Handle billing, expenses, correspondence, and client reporting

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation legal assistant / secretary experience
• Strong experience with state and federal court filings
• Knowledge of court rules and scheduling hearings, depositions, and mediations
• Prior trial support experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with iManage or FileSite a plus
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
