Never Far Studios
We are seeking a highly skilled Controller with a law degree to join our team and oversee the legal and financial functions that drive our success. The Controller will play a critical role in providing their legal expertise to ensure compliance, mitigate risk and oversee contractual obligations while optimizing the financial health of the company. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and brings a unique blend of legal insight and financial acumen.
Legal Oversight
Review, draft, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and partners.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Mitigate legal risks and provide strategic advice on business decisions.
Oversee intellectual property agreements, including copyright and trademark issues.
Consult on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and reporting.
Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payouts, and tax compliance.
Develop and implement internal financial controls and policies.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership.
5+ years of legal and financial management experience, ideally within a creative or professional services environment.
Type: Part-time consulting role with flexible hours.
