Vice President, Global Data Centers

VICE PRESIDENT, GLOBAL DATA CENTERS THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Vice President, Global Data Centers to lead strategic growth initiatives across the hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and AI-driven data center markets. This executive leader will develop and execute global account strategies, build executive-level customer relationships, and drive sustainable revenue growth across fire detection, fire suppression, security, life safety, inspection, testing, maintenance, and integrated solutions. The Vice President will serve as the executive sponsor for Sciens' most strategic data center customers and be accountable for expanding market share, developing enterprise partnerships, and aligning business development efforts across the organization. This role will collaborate closely with regional leadership, operations, engineering, and service teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes and accelerate growth within the mission-critical infrastructure sector. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well!) Develop and execute the Sciens data center growth strategy across hyperscale, colocation, cloud, AI, and enterprise data center customers. Lead the Global Strategic Account Management (GSAM) program for data center customers, ensuring consistent engagement, growth planning, and account governance. Directly lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team focused on strategic accounts, business development, and data center growth. Build executive-level relationships with key stakeholders, including data center operators, developers, REITs, investment groups, and technology providers. Drive enterprise-wide sales growth across fire alarm, fire suppression, special hazards, security, inspections, testing, maintenance, and lifecycle services. Establish strategic partnerships with general contractors, electrical contractors, engineering firms, commissioning agents, and design consultants. Sponsor major pursuits, national agreements, and multi-site customer engagements. Identify emerging market opportunities, customer needs, and industry trends to strengthen Sciens' competitive positioning. Partner with operational leaders to ensure successful project execution and long-term customer satisfaction. Drive standardization efforts that position Sciens solutions within customer design standards and preferred vendor programs. Represent Sciens at industry conferences, customer executive forums, and key data center events. Strategic execution and leadership Develop strategic account plans that align customer objectives with Sciens' capabilities and growth initiatives. Create executive engagement programs that strengthen long-term customer relationships and increase wallet share. Build a disciplined pipeline management process focused on opportunity identification, pursuit strategy, forecasting, and win-rate improvement. Coordinate growth initiatives across regional business units to ensure consistency and scalability. Leverage market intelligence to identify expansion opportunities by customer, geography, and service offering. Foster collaboration between sales, operations, service, engineering, and executive leadership teams. Establish performance metrics and accountability measures to drive profitable growth. Mentor and develop account leaders and business development professionals focused on the data center market. Support acquisition integration efforts and strategic partnerships that enhance Sciens' data center capabilities. WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, or related field. 15+ years of experience in data centers, mission-critical infrastructure, fire protection, security, building technologies, or related industries. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategic sales, business development, account management, or operations. Demonstrated success managing large enterprise accounts and executive customer relationships. Deep understanding of the data center ecosystem, including development, design, construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance. Proven experience leading high-performing teams in a multi-location environment. Strong financial, strategic planning, and business management capabilities. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills. Ability to travel extensively, as required. Existing relationships with hyperscale providers, colocation operators, developers, EPC firms, and mission-critical contractors. Experience with fire alarm, fire suppression, clean agent systems, VESDA, security systems, and integrated life safety solutions. Knowledge of NFPA, FM Global, Uptime Institute, and mission-critical facility standards. Experience negotiating national or global framework agreements. MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
