As an Armed Security Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This driving post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver's license. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $23.75 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AMFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders. Maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policy, and site-specific procedures. Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management. Minimum Requirements: Possess a Certified Protection Officer certification. Possess an armed guard card or license. Minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, corrections, military and/or degree in criminal justice. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
