Sous Chef Position at Cranes Bistro Join our team at Cranes Bistro, a new French Bistro located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire! We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to assist our Executive Chef in creating and executing our rotating seasonal French/Modern American menu. If you have experience organizing and maintaining a smooth kitchen line, with a background in French cuisine, we want to hear from you! Daily Responsibilities: Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations Contribute to menu planning and development Maintain high standards of food quality and portion control Manage food costs and ensure profitability Ensure kitchen sanitation and food safety standards are met Required Skills: Strong knife skills and food preparation techniques Knowledge of food cost management and ordering/purchasing Experience in back of house operations and culinary arts Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards Plate Presentation Scratch Cooking Experienced at all hot/cold stations ServSafe certification High standards in food quality Culinary Arts degree prefered Salary and Benefits: Competitive salary and health insurance benefits are offered for this position.
