Registered Nurse - Pediatric Cardiac Care Center

Schedule

This position offers a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including day, evening, and night shifts, with required on-call and callback duties.

Job Description

The Pediatric Cardiac Care Center (PCCC) provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art diagnosis, medical/surgical treatment, and long-term follow-up care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with various acquired and congenital cardiac conditions. The nursing staff is specially trained to care for patients with complex and rare congenital cardiac disorders. This center is the only pediatric cardiac care facility in Western New York.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to pediatric patients with cardiac conditions.
• Conduct telemetry monitoring for patients as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Participate in charge nurse responsibilities per unit needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Active RN License in New York (NY License ONLY).
• Experience in Pediatric Cardiac Care is required.
• Current certifications: BLS, PALS, and ACLS from the American Heart Association, and NIHSS.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
