In this role, you'll play an important part in our company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting and compliance with the law.Principal ResponsibilitiesPosting journal entries and accrualsBalance sheet and general ledger reconciliations, including bank account reconciliationMaintain and reconcile fixed assets accounts and roll forward schedulesMaintain capital leases ledger entries and roll forward scheduleReview and record employee and contract labor payroll journalsAssist with other month-end closing activities and provides management with reports, data, and analysis as requested for month end closing and various auditsAssist with preparing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analysesWork with the appropriate department to research and resolve "discrepancy" issues timelyResponsible for generation of month end reports in absence of AR lead or when requestedReview daily issues and works with the team to resolve timelyDocument issues beyond his/her control, and review with the Assistant Controller in a timely mannerWork with the Assistant Controller in completing a year end audit timely and accuratelyOther duties as assigned by the Regional Controller or managementRequired SkillsFoodservice distribution experience (Preferred) and/or supply chain experience (Plus)Experience with inventory cost accounting and understanding of accounting for manufacturing (Required)Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. pivot tables & VLOOKUP's)Hands-on experience with accounting and ERP software (Microsoft Navision / Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to demonstrate advanced analytic skills, including excellent mathematical skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with multiple levels and multiple departments within an organizationStrong understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Education/Experience3 years of Sr. Accountant experienceBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business (Required)Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000This position will be in an office setting at a desk equipped with computer, monitors, phone, and other applicable resources/equipment. It will require the applicant to routinely sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend for up to 8 hours. Position requires the occasional lifting of objects up to 10lbs.
