MRI Technologist - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a hospital setting in Reno, NV. The MRI Technologist will prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images, assist radiologists during procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort across the lifespan from infant to geriatric patients. The role requires proficiency with MRI scanning equipment, adherence to safety and confidentiality standards, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required.
• MRI advanced level certification preferred (R.T., R.M.R.I.T. noted as preference).
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Experience operating various MRI scanner models and producing diagnostic-quality images in an inpatient or hospital environment.
• Ability to work with patients across all age groups and manage clinical priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume trauma/stroke accredited center.
• Willingness to perform after-hours standby, callback, and required call shifts as needed.
• Ability to float to other departments or sites within the organization up to competency level.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification specifically in MRI is preferred.
• Previous experience in a Level II trauma center or comparable high-acuity hospital preferred.
• Experience with inpatient MRI workflows and cross-coverage on varied shift patterns preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern includes varied 12-hour schedules and weekend coverage, including some graveyard shifts.
• Call is required; travelers may be required to pick up call shifts and work major holidays.
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
• Travelers may be required to float to meet organizational needs up to their competency level.
