Executive Sous Chef

Job Location: Annapolis, MD 21401 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 Job Shift: Any We are seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our Culinary Services team. This leadership role supports the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, training staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and service for residents and guests. What You’ll Do Assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations Lead kitchen staff during assigned shifts and in the Executive Chef’s absence Support training, coaching, and development of culinary team members Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and food quality Prepare and oversee hot and cold menu items according to established recipes and standards Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control Assist with menu execution for daily dining services and special events Monitor food temperatures and quality throughout service Taste and evaluate prepared foods to ensure excellence Conduct daily rounds of dining venues, including Health Care and Assisted Living dining areas Support inventory management and food ordering processes Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards Maintain accurate food production and storage records Assist with kitchen operations wherever needed to ensure smooth service Support dish room and utility operations during peak periods when necessary Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment Why Join Ginger Cove?
