Description: Under direct supervision and direction of the department manager, charge nurse, or staff nurse/team leader. Performs duties assisting staff nurses in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with established methods and procedures. Strives for superior performance by consistently providing a product or service that is recognized as contributing to the patient and family experience. Recognizes and demonstrates understanding of patient and family-centered care. An attendance policy will be in place, advocating for patient population. Absences from scheduled shifts or being more than 20 minutes late will be monitored. Situations such as communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed in favor of the contractor. This policy is intended to ensure quality care and accountability.
