Job Overview
Hello! We are a wholesale bakery and production kitchen creating delicious vegan and gluten-free baked goods for high-end hotels, luxury spas, fast-paced restaurants, coffee shops, and juice bars. We use only natural products and wholesome ingredients and take pride in creating products people love.
We’re looking for someone who loves being in the kitchen and has a true passion for baking, with experience producing 1,000+ baked goods per week in a fast-paced environment. Vegan or gluten-free baking experience is a bonus, but most importantly we want someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to details, and genuinely loves what they do.
Job schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (6 hour shift)
Duties:
- Execute daily production according to the schedule.
- Store, label, and rotate products produced the same day.
- Maintain clear understanding and proper use of lot numbers.
- Follow FIFO and product rotation systems.
- Clean and maintain their station, including floors and surrounding areas.
- Monitor quality and report inconsistencies immediately.
- Maintain consistency in texture, bake, and appearance.
- Support and guide Decorators and Line Bakers when needed.
- Help maintain organization and efficiency in the kitchen.
- Adapt to daily production needs and adjust workflow accordingly.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of pastry and baking techniques.
- Ability to weigh and execute 3 or more recipes simultaneously, plus storing.
- Proficient in operating commercial kitchen equipment.
- Knows how to temper chocolate correctly.
- Advanced pastry decorating skills.
- Understands production flow, kitchen timing, and batch sequencing.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
- Able to work independently without supervision.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong decision-making skills regarding product appearance and finish.
- Problem-solving ability in a production environment.
- Adheres to health and safety protocols at all times.
Requirements:
- Food Handler Certification (required)
