Senior Financial Analyst

Opportunity This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be part of the Global Operations and Quality Finance department at the headquarters in Alameda, CA and support the Global Quality Assurance and Compliance area. What You’ll Do Responsible for the month‑end close process of Global Quality Assurance and Compliance area based in Alameda, CA in compliance with Division and Corporate reporting requirements. Preparation and validation of journal entries, including interaction with Genpact and Corporate Financial Services teams. Actuals reporting and analysis of actual vs forecast. Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled as per agreed timings, explaining fluctuations and reviewing analysis with the Assistant Controller quarterly. Perform forecasting and analysis for operating expenses, capital and project expenses, and balance sheet for the Global Quality Assurance and Compliance area. Manage assets, including asset settlement and periodic asset verification. Ensure adequate internal controls are followed. Manage liaison relationship providing guidance and support in finance matters for forecasting and business support. Participate in ad hoc/periodic meetings and projects. Responsible for establishing, developing, and implementing appropriate processes and procedures to ensure an efficient and effective financial planning process. Required Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in finance, accounting or economics) 3–5 years financial analysis / FP&A experience Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and systems Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting Highly proficient in MS Office, especially Excel Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret financial data to make recommendations and problem solve Preferred Master’s Degree / MBA preferred Experience with SAP, Hyperion EssBase, and Power BI The base pay for this position is $90,000.00 – $180,000.00.
