Lead Line Cook
With Others is hiring a Lead Line Cook to join our small, growing kitchen team. We are a neighborhood wine bar in Williamsburg with a seasonal food program, low-intervention wine list, and a fun, thoughtful approach to hospitality. Our menu is focused and intentional usually 810 dishes with an emphasis on quality ingredients, consistency, and food that feels generous, seasonal, and delicious.
This is a great role for someone who is confident on the line, organized, collaborative, and excited to take on more responsibility in a small independent restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Execute prep and service with consistency, speed, and attention to detail
- Help maintain high standards for food quality, plating, cleanliness, and organization
- Assist with ordering, inventory, pars, and receiving deliveries
- Help manage prep lists and station setup
- Monitor product quality and minimize waste
- Contribute ideas for new dishes, seasonal specials, and menu updates
- Support a positive, respectful, and team-oriented kitchen culture
- Follow DOH standards and maintain a clean, safe work environment
Qualifications
- 2+ years of line cook experience in a quality-driven NYC restaurant
- Strong knife skills and understanding of proper kitchen technique
- Ability to stay organized and calm during busy service
- Comfortable taking ownership of prep, station setup, and execution
- Clear communicator and team player
- Interest in seasonal cooking and menu development
- NYC Food Protection Certificate required
