Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to support our healthcare providers with patient care and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for healthcare, excellent communication skills, hardworking, honest, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will play a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary medical instruments and supplies are ready
• Record patient history, vital signs, and other relevant health information
• Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
• Assist with patient scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative paperwork
• Check patients in and out using Next-Gen Electronic Health Record
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
• Educate patients on treatments, medications, and ongoing care needs
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical instruments and work areas
• Support laboratory functions, including specimen collection and basic tests (e.g., EKG, phlebotomy)
• Answer phones and support patient flow process with check-ins and collection of data.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA) preferred
• Previous experience in a PCP setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain a high level of attention to detail
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Experience with Next-Gen Electronic Health Record
• CPR certification is a plus
• Ethical standards of Honesty and Integrity are a must
